Based in Des Moines, IA - Style by Lydia provides professional and affordable home staging and styling services to realtors, builders, and homeowners. Our passion is to transform new-builds, old-builds, and everything- in -between builds into homes that are inspiring, welcoming, and unique. We understand the importance of making a great first impression in Des Moines’ competitive market. Putting the buyer’s mindset first is a key strategy we use when we stage a home.

Plant PlacerLydia is incredibly passionate about all things regarding “home”. If she didn’t love making other homes so beautiful, she would probably never want to leave hers…except to run with her 2 teenage daughters, play pickleball with her husband, or go exploring in one of Des Moines’ many unique neighborhoods.
Her knack for coming up with furniture arrangements in even the most difficult of spaces and curating just the right art and decor to unify the look is a skill she learned from her mother. Her deepest desire is for her clients to feel cared for and excited about the staging process.
Showcasing her work is of course a very fun part of her job, but her favorite part about staging is easing up homeowner’s stress when selling or styling a new space and being a good “friend” to all of her clients.

Trailer Backer UpperTrent is Lydia’s very strong and friendly husband. He not only is an expert furniture mover, but he also is skilled at fixing small and unexpected problems at homes he is staging with his wife.
He is very detail-oriented and can many times be seen dusting off individual leaves of faux plants, straightening art, and using the magic eraser to rid furnishings of unsightly scuffs.
He can load a trailer with such precision that even the most skilled UPS driver would be astonished. Backing the Style by Lydia trailer up driveways is his specialty and he is great at making sure everyone stays hydrated.
